The study examines how risk-prevention strategies adopted by micro and small suppliers can influence the reconfiguration of global value chains, combining a theoretical framework with regional empirical evidence. Particular attention is devoted to spillover-generating strategies and industrial districts, exploring how local production systems can amplify the effects of suppliers’ responses to global uncertainty.
